For Responders
Psilocybin
Our mission is to educate and empower first responders about the mental health benefits of psilocybin as a transformative treatment for trauma. Through targeted training and resources, we equip first responders with the knowledge and tools to explore psilocybin’s therapeutic potential, fostering healing, resilience, and renewed well-being in their high-stress profession.
As an initiative of PATA (Psilocybin Assisted Therapy Association), the First Responder Collective provides trusted, evidence-based information and support for those on the front lines seeking relief (PTSD, depression, and anxiety), healing and growth. Our mission is to educate, empower, break the stigma, and offer safe, informed paths to healing for our fellow First Responders.

1
Education & Empowerment
Trusted Psilocybin Knowledge
We deliver clear, evidence-based education on psilocybin’s mental health benefits, tailored for the unique challenges of first responders. Our goal is to break through stigma, replace misinformation with science, and equip responders with the knowledge needed to make informed choices about their own well-being.

2
Training & Readiness
Specialized Crisis Protocols
We prepare fire, EMS, and law enforcement personnel to respond with confidence in a rapidly changing mental health landscape. Our training programs focus on safety, de-escalation, and collaboration with licensed psilocybin facilities—ensuring responders can manage psychedelic-related calls with professionalism, compassion, and reduced risk.

3
Community & Support
Healing Together, Not Alone
Created by first responders for first responders, our community offers a safe and stigma-free environment where peers can connect, share their stories, and learn from each other’s experiences. Through groups, events, and confidential support, we foster resilience, reduce isolation, and remind responders that they never have to walk this road alone.

These three values are the foundation of the First Responder Collective.
Healing represents our commitment to breaking the silence around trauma and offering trusted, evidence-based paths to recovery through psilocybin education and support.
Resilience reflects the strength we help responders build—transforming pain into growth, and preparing individuals and departments to meet the challenges of a changing mental health landscape.
Solidarity is our promise to stand together as a community, ensuring no responder faces their struggles alone. Together, these principles guide our work, uniting science, compassion, and peer support to serve those who serve us all.
Education is central to our work. We believe that knowledge reduces fear and stigma, opening the door to informed choices about mental health. By sharing clear, science-based information about psilocybin, we help responders understand what’s possible and what’s safe, empowering them to take the next step with confidence.
Preparedness is essential in a changing world. With psilocybin services now legal in Oregon and Colorado, departments need new protocols to handle unfamiliar situations. Our specialized training ensures responders have the tools to manage psychedelic-related calls safely, compassionately, and in full alignment with their duty of care.
Connection is the antidote to isolation. Too many first responders carry their struggles in silence, unsure who will understand or where to turn. The Collective provides spaces—both online and in person—where peers can speak openly, share experiences, and rediscover strength through community.

Dedicated to Our Frontline Heroes
FRC serves all members of the first responder community—active and retired—including Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, Law Enforcement Officers, and Dispatchers.
We recognize the unique pressures each role faces and provide tailored resources to address trauma, burnout, and mental health challenges through psilocybin education and crisis response training. No matter your agency or background, if you’ve dedicated your life to serving others, this is your space to heal and grow.
Addressing a Critical Need in the First Responder Community
First responders face disproportionately high rates of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and suicide—a silent crisis fueled by stigma, chronic stress, and lack of access to innovative treatments. With psilocybin services now legal in Oregon and Colorado, a new challenge emerges: bridging the information gap for responders seeking healing and preparing crews to handle psychedelic-related emergencies safely. FRC exists to meet this dual need—providing science-backed education to reduce stigma while developing specialized protocols for psychedelic crisis response. Because those who protect our communities deserve care as courageous as they are.
